A brief thank you note
Yeesh, it's been a long time since I wrote anything. Mostly that's because I've been nerd-sniped by learning Japanese, and that's consumed every second of my spare time for the last [checks calendar] four years.
Anyway, it's a new year, and I've been spurred back into action by an email I received from one Michel Rodrigues, who wrote to say "thanks for the book and the blog... are you ever going to finish the monorepo series?" which is a good question!
Honestly, the monorepo series is kind of intimidating, because there's so much context to talk about. It occurs to me that I could make a reasonable stab at writing a whole book on the Joy of Pants and all the strange things we've done to keep the monorepo ticking. I'll have a go though, we can do this.
So thanks, Michel, and thanks to everyone who has emailed me over the years to say "I learned a thing from you", or to ask a question. It genuinely makes me smile every time.
If there's something you're curious about, that I could write about, I'm always happy to get blog ideas. Just fire me an email to bob at codefiend.co.uk.
